On my last visit to Los Angeles, CA, my dearest friend Jenny + Simon referred me to their cousins, Gordon + Sabrina whom just had a baby boy named Brandon!  I traveled to their home and it was amazing to meet the three of them, and their adorable son!

Prior to meeting the three, I was in touch with Gordon and we had been coordinating what we could create for Brandon’s newborn session.  For all my newborn shoots, I love to incorporate their parents’ interests and hobbies as it has more meaning and shares their family’s personalities.  Gordon + Sabrina have many hobbies and interests which made it very easy for me to be very creative with each and every set.  Since Brandon was one month old by the time I took his photos, the most challenging part was getting him to be comfortable and fall asleep!  We had their space heater turned up, and we were all sweating in their living room for the entire time!  Luckily, once Brandon fell sound asleep, he was picture ready.

We had him first dressed up in a cute panda hat and bottoms.  Secondly, both Gordon and Sabrina met at UCLA, so UCLA is somewhere special to them.  I knew they were ultimate Bruin fans when I saw their man cave decorated in UCLA gear!  I think we know where Brandon’s expected to go to college.  Thirdly, the two love to collect beer, and one of their favorites is Pliny the Elder.  Pliny is special to them, not only because it’s delicious, but because they have a few Pliny the Elder beers brewed on Brandon’s birthday, and one of the photos that Gordon shared with me prior to us meeting was Brandon in a “Tiny Pliny” tee.  Lastly, Brandon’s going to have an awesome collection of kicks as he grows older.  Mom & Dad have an awesome selection of Jordans of all sizes waiting for him!  In addition, their dogs came over to play for a bit while Brandon had his diaper changes.  🙂

I had such a great time with Brandon!  It was such a pleasure meeting you Gordon, Sabrina, and Brandon (as well as mom!)!  I hope to see you again sometime soon and thank you so much for having me capture these amazing moments!  Thank you for referring me, Jenny + Simon!
