I’m always so blessed to have clients (or, who have now become friends) hire me for their special day. How do they find me? Where do they come from? Janthony found me through another mutual friend whom I’ve known since early High School, Ellie, and we found that these UC Davis Aggies and Lowell Alumni have many more friends in common, such as one of my cousins! Engineers by day, and true San Franciscans by night, these two are silly, warm hearted, and one amazing couple.
From the day I met them until their wedding day, it has been more than wonderful to get to know them, meet their closest friends and families, and capture their big day. As beautiful as everything went, Janthony looked extraordinary and both had smiles ear to ear. Their personalities and “engineer” lives reflected in their decor, just like their save the dates included engineering hats and vests. They had a very lovely contrast across their reception, with white florals, and green and blue all across their lighting, welcome table, and dessert table. With an open bar, the dance floor was never empty. They had a great lighting company project colored patterns against the walls during their first dance, three father daughter dances, and their cake cutting. To conclude the night, Jane had been waiting via FedEx for her sparklers to come; luckily, she received them and they had a wonderful sparkler exit to say farewell.
A friend mentioned this to me the other day, and I thought, he was right, so I wanted to share it with you. Being a photographer is almost like being a part of the bridal party. You are with the Bride & Groom all day long just like you are a bridesmaid or groomsmen, however, you don’t quite have the bridesmaid or groomsmen duties. It’s actually somewhat true – and I can tell you that my assistants and I love being there for my brides & grooms when help is needed.
Hope you enjoy Janthony’s wedding day! Also, I have selected one photo to do a creative composite shot for the groomsmen- do you see it? Tell me what you think about it by sharing this post or commenting below!
