Michelle Nicole Photography’s Twenty Highlights of 2012

Twenty Twelve.  Wow, what a year.

First and foremost, thank YOU – my clients, fans, supporters, friends, family, and everyone else who has followed and supported me throughout my journey.  Coming up on almost three years, and a year and a half being a full time photographer, I’m so blessed to be able to meet, capture, and share your stories.  I couldn’t have been able to do this without YOU – and I thank you for every single step of the way.

There were so many wonderful moments throughout this year, and I wish I could post them all, but I’ll only spare you with twenty of them.  Some of the highlights included traveling to Hawaii, Cabo, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles (LA multiple times).  I achieved my very first International Accolade of Excellence award from WPPI, the Wedding Photography Association, work published in a magazine in Boston, and another Nails magazine (for January 2013).  I captured nine weddings, countless portrait sessions, created the Goddess Collection with Shear Fashion Salon (which is still being worked on), did a high fashion shoot with International Supermodel Melissa Haro, got to do a little bit of beauty work, and helped out a handful of amazing photographers I admire – Matthew Jordan Smith, Tauran Woo, and many of my peers I’ve taken photography workshops with.  I also took a workshop at the end of the year with Tauran Woo & JeZa Photography – all peers I have grown with throughout my journey.  Last but not least, the best moments were meeting and reuniting with all the amazing friends throughout the year – by friends, I mean my clients too!!  Yes, you!

Over the course of the next year, I am continuing with weddings, portraits, and engagements, but I’d love to begin expanding to more metropolitan cities across the world, starting with Los Angeles, CA.  Personal projects will continue to be worked on, and maybe several new ones too!  If you’re outside of the Bay Area, I’d love to come to your city!

I’m also learning more about the beauty industry, including makeup and hair.  Along with JT Artistry and Shear Fashion Salon, we will be attending IMATS in Los Angeles at the end of the month.  I have to thank some of my most worked with vendors, MUA & Hair artists:  JT Artistry, Shear Fashion Salon, and Le Reve Salon.  All of you ladies are such amazing people, and friends – so happy to continue our journey together.

As this year begins with a little uncertainty, but a lot of excitement, I’m ecstatic to begin the new year, and I hope you are too!  With that, here are my TWENTY 2012 highlights:
