When you say you’re going to marry your best friend, Ryan and Katie did just that.  Katie + Ryan have known each other for 12 years, grew up in the same church, and Ryan was best friends with Katie’s brother.  Five years ago, Katie and Ryan started dating and a year ago, proposed to her.

Their big wedding day was filled with tears, laughs, champagne, toasts, wonderful speeches, and friends and family from all over.  Katie looked AMAZING, and I mean, AMAZING.  One of the things that stood out the most was watching their wonderful family – during the reception, I was able to see how well they got along, reunited, danced all over the dance floor, and had fun.  They were so sweet and caring, it almost felt like we were a part of their family for a day.  Most importantly, Katie’s brothers and other groomsmen put on a fantastic surprise show for the evening that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

P.S.  This little cake topper was passed down from generation to generation – starting with Katie’s Grandmother, to her mother, and now, displayed at Katie’s wedding.  I love capturing cherished mementos like this.
