Veronica and Bill are a sweet couple.  They met on the world wide web, and kept a long distance relationship for a while.  Bill and Veronica both went to school in the Bay Area, Stanford for Veronica, and Santa Clara Law for Bill.  While Bill continued to work in Hawaii, they compromised and Veronica moved out there.  Finally, they were able to take the next step in their relationship – and are now tying the knot in the fall!  I also met this wonderful couple through our friends Erika + Jon.

We had such a fun time shooting around the historic hotels of Waikiki – the Royal Hawaiian and Moana Surfrider.  Bill shared the history of the two hotels, and how they still have furnishings from many years ago.  In fact, the staff is so friendly and let us shoot in the hotels.  While shooting the two, I loved watching the abundance of love and passion they had for one another.  It was really great to see, and it made me so happy these two found each other.

We headed over to the Moana Surfrider, and wanted to capture a few more shots of the two before we headed out for dinner at Roy’s.  Unfortunately, our day turned around when I remember looking back at our stuff (checking on it) and taking a few more shots.   When we finished, I noticed Veronica’s purse had vanished – it was gone.  Bill’s wallet was in there too.  No bueno.  As our fun and eventful day had come to a halt, with attempts to find Veronica’s purse, checking with security, and Bill looking in every trash can, we called it a night.  Jokingly, as I tried to comfort Vero, I said “at least you still have your photos from today!”

As they recovered everything safely, it was terrible how the night ended, BUT I am so happy I had the chance to meet you both and capture you two in the state you call home, Hawaii.  Your imagery truly shows how passionate you are for one another and you two are such a beautiful couple.  As I’ve mentioned it over and over, I’m so happy you two found each other, you both are such a sweet couple, and I wish you both an amazing future together!!  Hope to see you guys back in the Aloha State!!
