I was talking to one of my good friends, Mike Duong today. When we met in college, Mike and I became really close friends. We also both loved photography. Every so often, we share some of our new work and ensure we’re on the right track. We are both so busy, that we normally keep up on our lives by reading each other’s blogs. He told me “I would purposely not read your posts for a while so I have a collective stack of like 2-3 posts so I can read through them all at once”. 🙂
I shared with him what I’ve been working on and what I think my direction in photography might evolve into. This post was going to be about showing what I’m working on and what I want to do, but while I was going through my old hard drive looking for photos of him and me, I stumbled upon a folder, named “Xanga” (all the photos I posted onto my old Xanga page).
I mentioned a long while ago that I’m the memory keeper and one of the few that would dig up old photos of friends and share them. I have stacks of CDs filled with old memories. Here’s a few to share. With that, I’ll be sharing my updates, aspirations, and new dreams with you next time. Happy throwback friday!
Note: These pictures are from somewhere between 2003-2009 (so, no, they’re not that old, but they’re old).
One of our friends, Janning, wanted to enlist in the military. I used to love putting together collages. We put together a collage for Janning:
I found some old wedding pictures that I took of Gloria and Charlie – San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, Shakespeare Garden.
My friend, Phil Chen was in a band called 8PAST. They used to perform at concerts.
Aren’t flashbacks great? I sometimes miss my high school days and how much fun it actually was. It’s kinda sad that I only keep in touch with only a handful of friends, if that. Geez MIchelle, now I wanna text all my grade school homies again. 🙂 Nice post!
What a great post Michelle! I love looking through old boxes of photos (mine weren’t on CDs…I think I’m that much older than you HAHAHA!)
