Congratulations Kathy and Rob!! Your wedding was extraordinary, and will be remembered for many many years!
I was asked by Scott Robert Lim, my super awesome photography mentor, to come with him to the Bahamas to assist him with Kathy and Rob’s wedding in the Bahamas. I’ve never shot a wedding with Scott before, and I HAD to go back to the Bahamas! (The year before, I went to the Bahamas with my boyfriend, Curtis’ family, and we had a BLAST at Atlantis). So I said YES!!!! I was excited, it was earlier in 2011, and I couldn’t wait for December to come sooner. Many months had passed, and December came quick. Maybe a little too quick, Thanksgiving came and went – my birthday was on December 9th, and I spent a good portion of that week celebrating and the day of the 9th packing, throwing in the tank tops, shorts, dresses, and my photography clothes! I was leaving to the Bahamas at 7am from SFO December 10th.
With about 3 hours of sleep, I was awake, and ready to go, and at SFO. I usually don’t get excited for trips until I’m at the airport and on my way. About 9+ hours of traveling later, I met up with Scott at MIA, we flew to Nassau, Bahamas, and we arrived safe and sound! We stayed at the Harborside Resort.
The day after we arrived, we waited for Gurm Sohal, one of Scott’s other mentees to arrive. Gurm flew in from Vancouver, Canada. While he was settling in, Scott and I went to Kathy and Rob’s rehearsal. This is when we all met, and everyone was really friendly. The day was beautiful, the weather was really warm. We also joined them for their rehearsal dinner with their friends and family at the Poop Deck that evening. There, we met more of Kathy and Rob’s loved ones.
Gurm, Scott, and I hung out for a little bit after dinner, then… Wedding day was here!!! It was beautiful, gorgeous, and yes, I cried! The family was so sweet, their vows were romantic and exciting, their speeches from their parents, MOH, Best woMan, Siblings, Uncle were FANTASTIC, Junkanoo – off the charts excitement, Bahama Mama’s, after party, and many more. I have so much to say about their wedding, but I’ll let the pictures do all the talking. I just want to say… THANK YOU.
It took me a long time to pick out the best imagery that highlighted the day… so, have fun and enjoy!! We also took some day after shots too, coming soon 🙂

Thank you again Scott for having me as your assistant at Kat and Rob’s wonderful wedding!! After quitting my financial & management career, you have taken me lengths into photography and turned my dreams into reality. Being here at Kathy and Rob’s wedding is something I aspire to do for other wonderful couples in the future, this is a wonderful stepping stone. I learned so much from you just watching you work. Thank you Scott for this really wonderful opportunity, this was such a treat that I’ll forever remember. (All imagery was shot for Scott Robert Lim, www.scottrobertgallery.com and for Kathy and Rob)
Kathy and Rob, thank you so much for having us. You two are truly amazing and I wish you both an amazing future together!!!
