Last Friday night I wasn’t dancing on table tops and we didn’t take too many shots, but we celebrated my farewell at a Happy Hour that extended into the evening.
These are only a small subset of my photos from last Friday night at Palomino’s for Happy Hour. A bunch of coworkers came out to celebrate, THANK YOU!!! There were too many photos to post on my blog, so the rest will be somewhere on my Facebook… Definitely had a great time with everyone. Thank you everyone for attending!
Today is monday. For most, it’s the start of people’s work week, and for me, its the start of my last week here at Advent. As I began to clean out my computer and desk area at work, I found tons of photos from 2007 and on. I found a lot of great memories, many of which I had forgotten, and yet so happy I was reminded by my photos of what wonderful moments we all had with the team. By the end of the day, er, well, between saying bye to my boss and before writing this blog post, I became a completely emotional train wreck.
Four years of amazing memories struck before me and I was so sad to be leaving. I started my career at Advent, worked under the same boss throughout my time here, and am now leaving to pursue one of my biggest passions. I’m sad because I became friends with a lot of my coworkers in the last four years here at Advent. I reminded myself that I’m taking the next step in my own career towards making it better and even greater. I also had to remind myself that I’m not leaving people behind, but just saying sayonara to my family, and have the leisure to visit anytime.
I still have a few more days this week and hopefully it will go better than today. Sometimes it’s hard to leave those you love. Is there a better way of saying goodbye?
Stay tuned for Part 3.
