Yesterday, Scott Robert Lim traveled from LA to San Francisco to teach us about Marketing. It was great, intriguing, and extremely helpful. There were some awesome US Census numbers presented during class, for example, did you know that there are 2.3M Weddings in the USA per year? Do you know how many full time photographers in the Bay Area? California? United States? Scott presented these numbers, showed us the problem we have and will face, and proposed fantastic solutions to alleviate and fight for our futures.
Afterwards and as always, we broke off into groups and started to shoot our models. Below are photos of Amber and Crystal, both wonderful girls who I’ve worked with before in previous Scott Robert Workshops. I definitely have a blast shooting these girls because they’re fun, have interesting lives of their own, and are great to work with.
The second and third shoot of Crystal was shot in the Fort Mason elevator. It had a black interior, and I was inspired by one of Scott’s elevator shots taken in Korea. We (Joo, Eliza, and Diane) were all crammed in the elevator for quite some time yet was pretty fun. Thank you Joo, Eliza, and Diane for all your great thoughts and our collaboration to make an awesome shot!
