On the 23rd of December, the San Francisco Scott Robert Lifetime Members got together at the Sofitel Hotel in Redwood City for a nice Holiday & Christmas dinner.  We all had a really beautiful dinner and have to thank Zabrina Deng, JeZa, for putting it all together!  Thank you Z!

I have a lot to thank for this past year – thank you to each one of you who contributed to this past year, you all mean a lot to me.  Even though 2010 passed by in a blink of an eye, this is the year when I met all the beautiful people in the photo above.  Early on, this is when I re-discovered the $10,000 World Class Photographer Scott Robert Lim (after 6+ years of following his Xanga!), and decided to take my photography to the next level by investing in my education.  This was the year when my life changed, for the better.

Life changing, kind of drastic, huh?  No, I’m serious!  My whole world turned right side up when I decided to take my education to the next level.  I knew I had nothing holding me back except for saving money.  Venture Capitalism vs stuffing money under the mattress.  Stocks vs Your Grandma’s Treasury Bonds.  Saving money + Finance Major from Business School + High Risk = A possibility of a High Return.  Many opportunities come and go, but the right one could be right under your nose – and you’ll never know unless you just try.  The opportunity to learn was right in front of me, and it just took a bunch of Facebook comments of ragging for me take this risk.  I know, I can be easily influenced, but not in all cases!

So I learned that if I wanted it that bad, I will find a way to make money and attend these workshops.  If I hit bumps in the road, or stuff starts hitting the fan, I will need to learn on my own how to get out of it.  I know this is going to be a tough and long journey, but without the help of all the wonderful community that Scott created for us… we wouldn’t have the support from each other.  You (Scott, Stacey, SR Community, JeZa, Darrell, Jenny, SR CHINA 2010, Friends, Family, my Fans) – mean the world to me.  Without you all, I don’t know where I’d be today.  Probably not writing in my blog, that’s for sure!

Each one of you, that have touched my heart, I thank you so much.  2010 was filled with SF 1 day Workshops, SR’s NYC World Tour and SR x CM Leung Discovery to China Workshop.  This will be a fantastic year to remember, farewell 2010!

2011 will be filled with a lot of optimism, strength, and courage – A few more SF one day workshops, WPPI in February, Paris in March, and Hawaii in August.  I might even go somewhere else too, who knows!  If you’d love to support me, I take sponsorships and donations, and in return, provide you with beautiful portraiture.  Please see my contact information for more details!
