Cake smash?  What’s a cake smash?!  Babies?  Frosting?  Cake?

Ever since I began photographing newborns and babies, I’ve fallen in love with all the lace, tulle, frosting, spit up, little toes, and drool!  Last month, someone special, Jackie (one of my old coworkers from my previous job at Advent Software) was gifted a cake smash session from her husband for her birthday.  Cake smash sessions have been a trend for babies when they turn one year old, and the photos are used for their first birthday invitations, parties, or to remember their one year old milestone.

For Jackie, Cliff, and Stella, I did an all inclusive package for them, as I did a mini family portrait session and then shifted to the second half of the session as we changed Stella’s outfit for the cake smash!  Poor Stella didn’t fall asleep and/or take a nap before the session, so I was worried she had a limited number of smiles for the day!  Though, Stella was perfect!  Come and take a look at their session!  Like, comment, share, and enjoy!
