Julia had been planning her engagement session for months!  From using Pinterest, searching online for outfits, shopping at many of the Bay Area shopping malls, and spending the weekend location scouting, finally this day to take their engagement photos had come.

I remember Julia when she was a bridesmaid for Jane + Anthony last September, and now it’s finally their turn!   When I met them at my studio in San Mateo back in October, and I thought both were such a gorgeous couple and was extremely excited and thankful to have them as one of my couples for 2015.

For their engagement session, I loved everything about it.  From the locations they picked in San Francisco, to how Julia stylized herself and picked out every outfit she wore!  Loved the bright colors that made their session “pop”, like her blue jacket, green dress, and yellow skirt!  Derek and Julia matched well and both looked stunning.

On the day of their engagement session, the weather was almost perfect, except it was extremely windy at our first location at Fort Point.  Since Fort Point is right underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, it was very cold and windy inside!  However, it was very unique because of the bricks and being underneath the Golden Gate Bridge.  For the remainder of the day, we traveled all around San Francisco, going to Portrero Hill, the Presidio, and even into Golden Gate Park.  All together, their San Francisco engagement session turned out beautiful and I absolutely loved Julia + Derek’s session!!  I can’t wait for their wedding!
