Fay and Brendan are tying the knot very soon!!  But before they do, I wanted to share our engagement session!

Fay loves lighthouses, and on one of their many dates, Brendan took her to see a lighthouse.  Fay loves lighthouses for what they do, aiding ships and boats, and their design.  On the day of their engagement session, our plans were to visit the Point Bonita Lighthouse, for they had visited it once before.  Through the San Francisco traffic and entering into the fog, we finally arrived!  Unfortunately, once we got there, we were too late, the lighthouse had already closed!!

As a photographer, sometimes things don’t always turn out perfectly as planned, er well, things always change (the weather, the location, etc) and we always have to make adjustments as necessary.  I always have to think on my toes and make changes on the whim because I always want to achieve the best imagery as possible for every single couple.  As for our engagement session with Fay and Brendan, we couldn’t even see the lighthouse from where we parked, or even down the pathway to the entrance, for a huge rock was blocking our way.  Because Fay explained to me in the car ride up why she loves lighthouses, I knew how important getting photos with Point Bonita was.

Even though it was freezing cold, we made it all work out.  We took a hike and found the most gorgeous view of the lighthouse. Shortly after, we headed into Sausalito and, well, you’ll see!
