My first time meeting Lily was over the phone when she called me while I was in LA.  We unfortunately didn’t speak again until a few weeks later when we didn’t hear from one another, we Skyped.  During our multiple Skypes, I knew I really liked this girl – we were both hopeless romantics and we spent hours talking about how she had found her one, Sonny.  I didn’t have a chance to meet Sonny yet, because he was overseas working so she was relaying wedding information to him via Skype.  When we had brunch together at one of my favorite restaurants, Bill’s Cafe, I was ecstatic to be sharing a big chapter with Lily + Sonny.

Lily and Sonny met through mutual friends, and when they began dating, they always had a huge smile on each others faces before seeing each other.  Sonny, a Marine Veteran, continues to work overseas and comes home any chance he can get.  At the time of their two year anniversary, they traveled to Minnesota where Sonny’s family lives.  He took her out for a nice dinner to celebrate their two year anniversary – with a complimentary dessert and champagne, Sonny got down on one knee and proposed to Lily – she said yes!

She says he’s really romantic, and he does things for her because he wants to.

Now that Sonny was back for several weeks, in the midst of planning their wedding, I traveled out to Stockton after returning from Los Angeles at the end of January and spent the amazing day with Lily + Sonny.  I was extremely excited to meet Sonny and see the two of them together.  We went to a nearby park with their cute pomeranian, Cookie, and then went to Viaggio Winery in Acampo – Lodi’s Wine Country, CA.  Throughout their engagement session, you can see how beautiful and romantic their relationship is.

Right after, they spontaneously packed their bags and headed down to San Diego for a weekend getaway 🙂

The story continues with Lily + Sonny, but in the meantime, enjoy their engagement session.  I’m excited for your wedding in October!!
